Hi, I’m Mishel, founder of Mshling Studio.

The name Mshling comes from a playful idea of turning what I do into a state of being. I can be working, sleeping, thinking… and always mshling. It actually started as a nickname back in high school, it’s a little piece of me that grew into something bigger.

I started this glass art studio after moving homes in the Netherlands. Dutch houses are full of character, with so many small, unexpected designs of doors, windows, corners. So naturally I researched how I could add my own touch to these spaces, specifically on glassware.

At first, I was intimidated by traditional glasswork with cutting glass, working with heavy tools. But through research, I discovered a different approach: the KGAD (Korean Glass Art Design) method.

I started by creating a few pieces for my own home, and quickly fell in love. Mostly with the whole process felt very grounding, and the design possibilities feel almost limitless.

Realizing that I’m not the only one living in a Dutch home wanting to add a personal touch, I wanted to bring this technique to the Netherlands so more people can explore a new, creative way of upgrading their home, workspace, or any space they call their own

For now, I offer hands-on workshops in Amsterdam.

Soon, I’ll be expanding into products available across Europe with a focus on giving vintage pieces a second life through glass art. Looking ahead, I also plan to introduce more creative workshop concepts from Korea that are not yet available in Europe.
