What is Korean Glass Art Design (KGAD)?

KGAD (Korea Glass Art Design) is a modern craft technique that recreates the stained glass look without traditional glass cutting. The focus is on design composition and assembly using the KGAD method.

what kind of prior experience do i need?

No experience is required. All workshops are designed to be beginner friendly and we guide you step by step throughout the process.

Where is the studio located?

Our studio is located in Orteliusstraat 151, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and is the first studio in Europe offering KGAD workshops.

By public transport

From Amsterdam Central Station you can take tram 17 or bus 18, which both provide a convenient connection to the studio.

By car

Free Parking is available in the streets around the studio.

Workshop
When are the workshops held?

Workshops are held every other Sunday from 13:00 - 16:00.


Custom dates are available upon request. Please contact me at least one week in advance to arrange a session.

Yes. Custom sessions are available upon request.

If you have already booked, deposits are non-refundable but bookings can be transferred to another date or participant with at least 24 hours notice.

How long does the workshop take?

Most workshops take 2–4 hours, depending on the design and project you choose.

Can I take my artwork home the same day?

Yes. One of the advantages of the KGAD method is that your piece can be completed during the session and taken home immediately.

Are materials included?

Yes. All materials, tools, and guidance are included in the workshop price

What should I bring to the workshop?

You do not need to bring anything. All materials and tools are provided. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing suitable for creative work.

Short nails are also highly recommended

Is the schedule flexible for groups or private bookings?

Yes. Private group sessions can be arranged on alternative dates and times upon request. Please make an inqiury through the collaboration page

Safety
Is the workshop safe?

Yes. This workshop does not involve glass cutting. We use a safe custom acrylic-based method to recreate the stained glass look, making the process accessible for beginners.

Why does the workshop use acrylic instead of glass?

Acrylic is intentionally chosen for safety consistency and durability while allowing participants to complete a functional piece within one session. This method is standard in KGAD workshops internationally.

What is your cancellation policy?

Bookings can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice. Deposits are non-refundable.
