Creative House in Zeist
We like things that are made by hand, made to be used, and made with a little character. We run hands-on workshops, sell home décor, and open up the space for other people to make something of their own.
We are not interested in making things just for the sake of looking pretty. We like objects that earn their place in your home. A lamp you made yourself. A piece on the wall that feels a little strange, but somehow exactly right. Something useful, personal and difficult to find anywhere else.
The same goes for our workshops. We want to introduce techniques and ideas that feel new, unexpected and worth leaving the house for. Some of them you may not have heard of before. That is part of the fun.
Most of what we teach can also be purchased, because not everyone wants to make everything themselves. Some people want the experience. Some people just want the piece. We like both.
Mooi House is still at the beginning stage. New workshops, objects and collaborations will keep finding their way in. The space is also available to rent for workshops, creative sessions and small projects of your own.
We believe handmade can still be practical. Practical can still be beautiful. And beautiful does not have to be ordinary.

We’re an ambitious couple who are rarely short on ideas and probably a little too willing to turn them into business plans.
We like building things together, trying things before we know exactly where they’ll lead, and meeting people who are just as curious about making something of their own.
Sometimes we teach. Sometimes we learn. Usually, it’s both.
Mooi House is our way of creating more of those connections, but also a creative playground for us to test the ten business ideas we seem to come up with every hour.
